International Students

Deer Park Secondary College has a strong International Students program. The College has a commitment to the program and is an ideal school for overseas students. The College is very multi-cultural with students from all parts of the globe. Teachers are accustomed to working with students from a wide variety of backgrounds. The curriculum takes these backgrounds into account and celebrates the diversity and multicultural nature of our student population.

Deer Park Secondary College is able to offer to strong support to International students. The College ensures that each student has a home group teacher that takes care of the welfare of all students in the group. Deer Park Secondary College also has a supportive welfare team that consists of two Guidance Officers, a Student Welfare Coordinator, a School Chaplain and a School Health Nurse.


There are dedicated English as a Second Language classes for all students who need support in improving their English skills.


Deer Park Secondary College is serviced by bus and there is a bus stop just outside the school grounds, making it easily accessible from many parts of Deer Park. There is a suburban train line in Sunshine and this links with the College through the bus routes.


Deer Park has a nearby shopping centre and public library.
